With the introduction of the Government of Ontario’s Smart Metering Initiative (SMI), local distribution companies are faced with difficult challenges and tight timelines to develop interfaces with the provincial Meter Data Management/Repository(MDM/R).
The Independent Electricity System Operator’s (IESO) Smart Metering System Implementation Program (SMSIP) working groups have developed complex specifications to interface with the MDM/R.
